Bookish Bliss at Granth, Mumbai

Granth Book Store has easily one of the most diverse book collections in the country. At its Juhu Tara Road outlet, I had the pleasure of sampling its shelves – across winding alleys done in calming hues of white and earthy warmth of wooden panels, classics sat across contemporary fiction, Indian literature hobnobbed with world lit.

Granth Book Store, Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai.

Graphic lit found its own dedicated space and so did books for children and young adult on the level 1. Hardbacks aplenty, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon a hitherto unknown edition here – pristine and ready to be taken home! 🙂 Both levels provide plenty of space to pull a pouffe or chair and park oneself in, leafing through the books undisturbed.

A seating/ writing area, next to the in-store cafeteria that serves regular coffee and cappuccino, meant we ordered two cuppas and watched the world go by, all the while drinking in the vibes of the bookstore besides the book I had just purchased. Intermezzo by Sally Rooney, for the nosy ones reading 🙂

The staff is helpful and polite, knowing when to strike a conversation and when to retreat. I quite liked that. Events keep happening here and interested people can find details on its Instagram Page, among others.

Finding Granth on Juhu Tara Road is easy; so is getting lost in its world.

Step in.
