Unhurried, cozy, delicious and warm – this place exudes these words like those sparkling drops of water on a lotus. But lotus it is not; fuchsia it certainly is!

On a Sunday evening, I stepped into The Fuchsia Loft and was immediately embraced by a vintage wave of fuchsia. The ambience lived upto this glorious hue – the lamps and the drapes, the radio and the portraits, the decor and the art, all flitting through or shining under the purple-pink queen.
The gastronomic delights though! Ah. They stole the show.
Food first? Yes.
The Achari Gambas – Prawns cooked in a delectable mango pickle sauce. Stunner. Saying no more.
The Kerala Fried Chicken on Waffles – crispy and tangy, with the Naga hot honey doing its magic.

Even the poor foodie in me said – go on, we can skip the next meal.
Let me go to the drinks now.
Sun-kissed. It was precisely that. Orange and Vanilla flavors to compliment Wild Turkey. The vanilla fan in me nodded her head, I am sure.
The Chocolate Boy. Oh boy! Bushmills with (dark) chocolate and orange bitter, made absolutely (edible) flammable with mesquite smoke. The notes? Best enjoyed with eyes closed.
Since I was reading a book and needed another drink to go with it, I picked one from their mocktails- the ZERO PERCENT Cocktails, as they call it.
8 Ball. Ah. Took me straight to my school days where Kala Khatta chuski was a staple. A bit of mulberries, blueberries and a mound of crushed ice. A melange of flavors, shaking a leg in my mouth.

Needless to say, the menu is fresh, experimental (and seems successfully so!) and high on options.
The staff is attentive, the service, warm. Soft jazz played in the background, not overpowering the essential din of conversations.

I shall certainly go back here. I feel I shall be surprised everytime – in a good way 🙂
