BEYOND INDUS, Chennai, India || North Indian Cuisine
My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars

By virtue of being tucked in a corner in the lobby area of the beautiful Hotel Taj Club House, the restaurant exudes a rejuvenating calmness. The ambience is cosy and warm, and conducive to conversations.

The Sunday Thali (Non Veg) I had, came with a tomato shorba with basil, chicken tikka, dal makhani, chicken curry, mixed veg dry, indian breads, pulao and a dessert (a saffron pistachio pudding in my case). The food was just right – right temperature, right cooked, right spiced, right portioned. I am a moderate eater and I was full with one serving. But of course, one can ask for more.

The Taj hospitality is a plus and I have hardly ever been disappointed with it. The team took care of me. They let me read my book and knew when to ask the next question.

The Thali is reasonably priced with a Taj tag and one is unlikely to go wrong with Beyond Indus.

There is, of course, valet parking and billing was by card and hassle free.

Meal for 2: INR 2500
