A sprawling resort with a private entry to the gorgeous, blue beach.

We visited as a gang of friends and had a ball. Standing at the heart of Ao Nang, KR was in close proximity to the main marketplace – pubs, restaurants, souvenir shops, massage parlours were all within walking distance. While the location was bang on at the outside, it was pretty cool built inside too. The rooms were done in good taste – in soft hues of white, sea green and gold. The rooms had plush fauna around it, making the morning views tranquil and fulfilling.

The housekeeping was top notch and the mini fridge was well-stocked. The buffet spread was good and delicious. Apart from Thai cuisine (ramen, dimsums and the likes), it also had waffles, pancakes, salads, breads, porridges, baked beans, omelettes, yoghurt, etc. The highlight for me, though, was the teas! Ginger Tea and Lemongrass Tea were lip smacking and rejuvenating! The seating area was right by the sea, turning the experience both romantic and warm. The resort had a travel desk which gave us many handy tips to better manage our time and resources in sightseeing. It also arranged for a mini van for us during check out at reasonable rates. It is about 40 minutes from the Krabi airport.

The drawbacks, as one would expect, were little – no bathrobe, iron desk or moisturizer bottles in the room, dark stretches in the night with some defective lamps dotting the walkways. 

But that didn’t dampen our spirits one bit and we had an absolutely wonderful time at this resort.
